The Resort: Full Lighting Replacement

For five to six years, The Resort community in Playa Vista relied on a custom lighting system that never lived up to its cost. Poor engineering meant components burned out regularly, and replacement parts were costly and hard to source. By the time Playa Vista's management brought us in, 90% of the lighting was non-operational, a significant problem for a community whose reputation rests on a premium, resort-style atmosphere.

We started with lighting design, running full photometric calculations and developing a new lighting layout, which we reviewed and confirmed with Playa Vista's management before finalizing the product. We then supplied our own architectural linear pendant system, a fully modular solution with L, X, T, and Y-shaped connectors that allows long continuous runs to be configured to any ceiling geometry. Our C-10 licensed electricians handled the full removal of the old system and installation of the new one, creating a cohesive, upscale lighting composition befitting the property.
